墨米移民における故郷協会（HTAs）と社会景観分析に関する試論 An Essay on Hometown Associations (HTAs)and Social Landscape Analysis among Mexican Immigrants in the United States 牧野　, 冬生 マキノ, フユキ MAKINO, Fuyuki The Mexican Hometown Associations （HTAs）, gradually formed by Mexican immigrants since the mid-twentieth century, foster ties between the United States and their homelands in coordination with the economic, cultural, and labor activities of immigrants. Although the primary role of HTAs is in collective remittances to hometowns and social welfare activities, much of the research on HTAs has focused on their role as remittance development agents. This paper provides an overview of HTAs and examine on their role in cultural economic activities. In addition, I will review papers, articles, and media surveys on how the Mexican culture of their hometown has been reproduced in the United States.
