They became\nunemployed and impoverished as a result of the Meiji Restoration. The organizations Heian-gikai and Kyoto-Ohkitsu-zaidan were founded to\nsupport them. Heian-gikai Siryo （the Historical Materials of the Heian-gikai） and Ohkitsu-zaidan Siryo （the Historical Materials of the\nOhkitsu-zaidan） are the materials handed down from generation to generation in these organizations. In 2016, these materials were donated\nto the Kyoto Institute, Library and Archives.
