This suggests that tactile sensation might be the most fundamental sense among the five senses. Experiments ranking the superiority of the five senses support the idea that tactile sensation is the most superior. Tactile sensation is not just one of the five senses on par with the other four, but it holds an exceptional position as the most fundamental among them. Tactile sensation is the most basic sense supporting the survival of living organisms. When humans map their bodies and the environment around them, the information obtained from tactile sensation forms the foundation. It is also fundamental for the mental state of humans and child development.\n Now, let’s consider the most fundamental sense of the beauty act. Makeup and hairstyling are important for their shapes, so it seems that vision is the most important sense. However, both makeup and hairstyling inevitably involve touching the skin and hair and adjusting the finish based on the tactile sensation. Therefore, tactile sensation is also an indispensable and important sense. In skincare, body care, bathing, and similar care actions, tactile sensation is the predominant sense. Additionally, in the early history of beauty, it was closely intertwined with medicine. The persistent belief that “healing hands” is the origin of medicine indicates that tactile sensation is the primary sense in early medical and beauty practices. From these points, it can be said that tactile sensation is the most fundamental sense of beauty.\n From a phenomenological perspective, the self is a concept, not an entity. Therefore, the self is always fluctuating and fragile. We feel uneasy if they are not constantly aware of, correcting, updating, and controlling the state of our self. One way to confirm and control the self is through beauty. The fact that tactile sensation is the most fundamental sense of beauty aligns with the conclusion of my last research paper that tactile experience is indispensable for the acquisition of the self. For humanity, beauty using tactile stimulation is an extremely effective means of acquiring and forming the self. This reveals that beauty is not merely a superficial and trivial act of decorating one’s appearance, but its significance is profound.","subitem_description_language":"en"}]},"item_10002_full_name_3":{"attribute_name":"著者(英)","attribute_value_mlt":[{"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"1","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}],"names":[{"name":"Kaori ISHIDA","nameLang":"en"}]}]},"item_10002_identifier_registration":{"attribute_name":"ID登録","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_identifier_reg_text":"10.18998/0002000229","subitem_identifier_reg_type":"JaLC"}]},"item_10002_publisher_8":{"attribute_name":"出版者","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_publisher":"駒沢女子大学 学長 臼井実稲子","subitem_publisher_language":"ja"}]},"item_10002_source_id_9":{"attribute_name":"ISSN","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"1340-8631","subitem_source_identifier_type":"EISSN"}]},"item_creator":{"attribute_name":"著者","attribute_type":"creator","attribute_value_mlt":[{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"石田 かおり","creatorNameLang":"ja","creatorNameType":"Personal"},{"creatorName":"イシダ カオリ","creatorNameLang":"ja-Kana","creatorNameType":"Personal"},{"creatorName":"Kaori ISHIDA","creatorNameLang":"en","creatorNameType":"Personal"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"1","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]}]},"item_files":{"attribute_name":"ファイル情報","attribute_type":"file","attribute_value_mlt":[{"accessrole":"open_access","date":[{"dateType":"Available","dateValue":"2025-03-29"}],"filename":"本文PDF.pdf","filesize":[{"value":"564 KB"}],"format":"application/pdf","license_note":"Copyright(c)2024 by KOMAZAWA WOMEN'S UNIVERSITY","licensetype":"license_note","mimetype":"application/pdf","url":{"url":"https://komajo.repo.nii.ac.jp/record/2000229/files/本文PDF.pdf"},"version_id":"b0e1f889-891a-4a66-9f72-ede04075f797"}]},"item_language":{"attribute_name":"言語","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_language":"jpn"}]},"item_resource_type":{"attribute_name":"資源タイプ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"resourcetype":"departmental bulletin paper","resourceuri":"http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_6501"}]},"item_title":"触覚と美容 ―自我形成についての現象学的研究―","item_titles":{"attribute_name":"タイトル","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_title":"触覚と美容 ―自我形成についての現象学的研究―","subitem_title_language":"ja"},{"subitem_title":"Tactile Sensation and Beauty —A Phenomenological Study on Self Awareness—","subitem_title_language":"en"}]},"item_type_id":"10002","owner":"12","path":["1741053051105"],"pubdate":{"attribute_name":"PubDate","attribute_value":"2025-03-29"},"publish_date":"2025-03-29","publish_status":"0","recid":"2000229","relation_version_is_last":true,"title":["触覚と美容 ―自我形成についての現象学的研究―"],"weko_creator_id":"12","weko_shared_id":-1},"updated":"2025-03-31T03:57:51.239472+00:00"}
